If you imagine an ordinary moment
at an intersection in ‘‘London’’,
and there is a pause because there is a streetlight,
and some people are stopped and others in motion,
and some cars are stopped and others in motion;
if you were to put that into film terms as a “freeze frame”
and hold everything for a second,
you would realize
that there’s a universe there of totally disparate intentions,
everybody going about his or her business
in the silence of their own minds,
with everybody else
and the street
and the time of day
and the architecture
and the quality of the light
and the nature of the weather
as a kind of background or field for the individual consciousness
and the drama that it is making for itself at that moment,
and you think about that,
that’s what happens in the city,
in that somehow the city can embrace and accept and accommodate
all that disparate intention,
at one and the same time,
not only on that corner,
but on thousands of corners . . . .

Born in a family where art and science is fruitfully combined, and in a city were creativity and innovation have a permanent presence, I started projecting my way into the fashion world when I was 13 years old, sewing in the back room of a haberdashery in Barcelona.
Two years later I decided to explore my curiosity towards construction by learning pattern-cutting at Escola Martí, Barcelona.
My passion kept on growing, which brought me to move to London at the age of 17, to undertake a Bachelor Degree in Creative Pattern-Cutting at London College of Fashion. After university, I made my way to Italy, where I worked as a product developer, embroidery designer, pattern-cutter and fashion designer for international clients as Dior, Uma Wang, Moncler and The Attico.
Working in a family run business, meant I had to learn to wear many hats in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
At the same time, I created a personal project - fashion collection under the name of CELIA ROLLÁN.
As a passionate designer in a world that is constantly changing, I continue to strive for consistent improvement and innovation.
I’ve continued to learn from big brands such as SKIIM Paris and Ted Baker designing and developing its products.
